Oletta, minuscolo borgo dell'Alto Nebbio, ai tempi famoso per lo sfruttamento delle miniere d'argento, è agli antipodi dell'effervescenza di Saint Florent.
Un'unica strada serpeggia per le vecchie case sparpagliate distrattamente tra le alture e il villaggio dal suo poggio contempla silenzioso e indifferente il panorama dal Couvent Saint-François alla costa (che qui appare lontanissima) come se negli anni nulla fosse cambiato.
Quattro case, due ristoranti e una chiesa. Et c'est fini.

Ben visibile la catena della Serra, la linea di cresta orientale dove si trova il punto più alto del paese, la vetta dello Zuccarello, a quota 955 m, ma purtroppo inaccessibile il Couvent Saint-François del XVIII secolo (tra i più antichi sull'isola), acquistato dalla pittrice franco-portoricana Candida Romero, che negli anni con la figlia Simone Dat ha costruito intorno alla sua residenza un giardino segreto con piante endemiche ed esotiche, da cui le artiste hanno saputo estrapolare anima e aromi creando una loro linea cosmetica.

Oggi residenza privata e spazio per eventi e artisti, le visite (su prenotazione) iniziano al tramonto, quando si diffondono i profumi della macchia mediterranea e dei fiori del giardino e - se vi informate con un certo anticipo - è possibile fermarsi per un pasto leggero a base di prodotti biologici della Corsica.
In alternativa ogni martedì e venerdì d'estate sulla piazza antistante viene organizzato un piccolo mercato.
